A 1,200-acre cattle ranch in Texas faced recurrent stock theft and vehicle trespassing along a highway corridor. Thieves continually cut the legacy 5-strand smooth wire fence, stealing valuable breeding cattle and damaging isolated water stations.

The owner needed a cost-effective, durable upgrade that could be installed directly onto existing wooden and steel fence posts without requiring a complete, high-cost structural overhaul of the entire 4-kilometer boundary line.

Solution

Top-Rail Deterrence Extension

For general boundaries running alongside local access roads, workers mounted specialized extension arms onto the existing fence posts. A single continuous line of concertina loops was strung across the top, raising the total height and creating an anti-climb barrier.

Ground-Level Intrusion Block

In isolated low-lying creek beds and hidden tree lines where thieves previously cut through the fence, a triple-strand pyramid configuration was anchored directly into the ground to stop both human intruders and predatory wild animals.
